Seasonal Transitions, Less Predictable Economy Cause OCI To Drop

May 2, 2016

The OCI or operator confidence index took a dip in the first quarter of 2016 to 129.9. A few OCI board operators report some large facilities closing, affecting the local economy. This is especially hard to absorb in rural areas or places where oil is the main industry. Additionally, the 2.5 percentage dip compared to the previous quarter can be seen as a result of the summer sales outlook in areas that traditionally have slower warm weather sales.
